Fleet Transportation ‘Leading’ in Climate Change Efforts

Alexandria, VA. – Luxury ground transportation in Washington DC is leaving a lighter carbon footprint. Fleet Transportation, LLC. has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for their environmental commitments and has become a partner in the US EPA Climate Leaders program. As members of Green Ride Global (GRG) – a firm that creates and implements environmental sustainability programs for the ground transportation industry – Fleet Transportation has qualified for inclusion in the Climate Leaders program, based on GRG’s environmental management system and ability to measure, reduce and report on Fleet Transportation’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions.
“Very few companies from the transportation industry are part of the Climate Leaders Program”, says Ian Lipton, Chief Operating Officer of Green Ride Global. “Fleet Transportation is helping show the EPA that chauffeured ground transportation companies can demonstrate a serious commitment to environmental sustainability.”
Fleet Transportation has been a Green Ride Global member since April of this year and has already achieved GHG reduction results of 7 percent over the same period last year. “We are proud of progress towards environmental sustainability and that our green commitments meet the rigour of the Climate Leaders program,” says David Glazier, President & CEO of Fleet Transportation.
